Motivation for Liquid Law

There are a number of reasons that motivated the early work on Liquid Law. The main aim however was to humanise liquid democracy.

Liquid democracy was, a project I started much earlier but was in danger of being taken over by coders interested in developing technical systems that related isolated individuals to decisions without the need for group, let alone group-to-group deliberation.

I considered this the opposite of what I was trying to achieve with liquid democracy - better and more human centred democratic governance. This is also the reason for my more recent focus on conversations across space and argument mapping.
